11 Essential Site Safety Practices
Our safety programme is built around practical actions that can be understood, applied and monitored on-site. These actions guide our teams and subcontractors in preventing unsafe acts, reducing risks and maintaining disciplined project execution.
- Install clear, visible safety signs throughout the site.
- Maintain a fully stocked first-aid kit in the site office.
- Wear safety helmets, protective footwear, and appropriate workwear.
- Keep the site clean by bagging waste, flatten and bundle all boxes.
- Store and stack all materials safely, securely, and neatly.
- Barricade and cover all openings to prevent falls.
- Wall ties every 3 layers of scaffolding, netting, and protected access
points. - Conduct daily morning exercises before starting work.
- Weekly 15-minute site cleaning by all workers.
- Prevent exposed wiring and ensure proper electrical handling.
- Monitor heavy machinery wire ropes, ensure outriggers are fully extended and stable, and restrict unauthorised access to operating zones.
